Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a new top ten list that all blogegrs can answer. This weeks is Top Ten Books On My Fall To-Be-Read list. Here are my answers.

1) Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell – I received this book for my birthday and I am so excited to read it! It’s been on my To-Buy list forever so I can’t wait to get started.

2) The Winners Curse by Marie Rutkoski – Historical Fiction fantasy with an insanely complicated love story? My go to read at this stage!

3) Uglies by Scott Westerfeld – I bought this in June and I still haven’t read it. I think it’s because the cover is just so pretty. I don’t want to mar it with my fingertips but I am determined to read it before October ends!

4) Everyday Sexisim by Laura Bates – I follow Laura Bates twitter account and it is both horrific and fascinating so I am very much looking forward to reading the book both for pleasure and for my dissertation.

4) Firstborn by Ryan Attard – I received this book for review and I’m looking forward to it. Talking pets and Japanese monsters? Sounds like it’ll be a fun read.

5) Finding Her Way Back by Heather Van Fleet – A New Adult (My first I think) Novel about finding love while learning to love yourself. Sounds fun and sweet and adorable.

6) The Handmaids Tale by Margret Atwood – My College Library has it. I am going to read it. This I swear. It also doubles as dissertation reading.

7) Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – This book looks so freaking creepy so it’s perfect fall reading!

8) Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor – I don’t own this but I will dammit! I’m ordering it the second September ends and I will read it the second it arrives.

9) Torment by Lauren Kate – I read Fallen like five or six years ago so I think it’s about time I read the sequel.

10) Lean in for Graduates by Sheryl Sandberg – This one has been on my TBR for awhile and my college library has it in stock so I will definitely be picking it up soon.

1) Avalon by Mindee Arnett – Firefly in book form? Um, yes please!

2) Lean in for Graduates by Sheryl Sandberg – Let’s just file this under something that really needs to be read.

3) Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson – I would see my soul to have this book in my hands right now!

4) Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas – Technically it’s not out yet but I need it. I need it like oxygen!

5)Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay – Sleeping Beauty’s daughter fighting ogres to reclaim her throne. I need it like air.

 

 

 

 

 

6) Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge – Sleeping Beauty being trained since birth to marry and kill the prince? Um yes!

7) The Handmaids Tale by Margret Atwood – I cannot find this book anywhere! I looked for it in Paris, in Dublin, in Cork and not a single shop had it! It’s ridiculous! But I must own it!

8) Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin – Gothic, steampunk retelling of Edgar Allen Poe? Just shut up and take my money!

9) Let’s Get Lost by Adi Alsaid – I have a real craving for road trip contemporary’s lately and this one really fits the bill!

10) A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray – Have you see the cover? I want to cover my bedroom walls with it!
