Top Ten Favorite Heroines From Books

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish. Each week they post a top ten list and invite bloggers to participate and this weeks is Top Ten Favorite Heroines From Books! So without further ado here is my list!

1) Hermione Granger from Harry Potter by JK Rowling – How could the Brightest Witch of her Age not make this list? Hermione is smart, brave, ruthless and loyal while still being anxious, insecure and a bit of an annoying know-it-all but dammit if I don’t love her.

2) Celaena Sordothien from a Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas – The Heir of Ash and Fire who bows to no one. Celaena is my Queen, such a BAMF and an incredible protagonist. Adore her.

3) Kat Bishop from Hiest Society by Ally Carter – Sassy, clever and funny. Kat Bishop is an awesome thief with an incredible crew and I love reading about all of her adventures and heists.

4) Lindsay Boxer from Women’s Murder Club by James Patterson – Lindsay was one of my first ever heroines and I still love her. Dedicated, smart, a terrific friend and detective Lindsay is one of my favourite people to read about.

5) Clary Fray from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare – Fiery, stubborn and a total badass. Tiny Clary Fray let me believe that tiny girls can kick ass and score the hot guy while doing it!

6) June Iparis from Legend by Marie Lu – Clinical, passionate, dedicated June Iparis was such a compelling and intriguing protagonist. I loved her.

7) Karou from Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – Karou who wants to fly and won’t let anyone get in her way. Loyal, passionate, romantic, dedicated and sensational. Love her!

8) Verity from Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein – Words cannot properly describe what I feel for this character and the risk of spoilers prevent me from trying but she was just stunning.

9) Kestrel from The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski – Clever, strategic, ruthless and willing to do what she has to do what she has to to win. Kestrel is an incredible heroine and I am very much looking forward to reading more about her.

10) Celia Bowen from The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – Beautiful and enchanting, a true survivor and a most worthy competitor. Alongside the circus Celia was the true star of the Night Circus
